Unfortunately, not all booze is vegan. If you’re straight edge, this is one less thing to worry about, but if you do drink, you need to be aware that some beers, wines, and alcohols contain animal ingredients. Lucky there is a website called BARNIVORE which has a comprehensive list of every drink out there letting you know which are suitable for vegans and why. There used to be a lot of great “Is your beer/wine/alcohol vegan? iPhone apps powered by Barnivore, but most of them have gone MIA. If you still have “Vegan is Easy” on your phone- you’re in luck. However, if you don’t, the only other two app to help you score some vegan booze are “VeganXpress” and “VeggieBrews.” That said, if you’re at a bar and unsure what to get, just do a google search for www.barnivore.com and look up your drink of choice.
