Vegans of Instagram

After I posted the list of products tested on animals, I was surprised to get so many dubious, snappy remarks about dog food being tested on animals. I wanted to address this issue, because it’s a serious problem.

➡ Brands like Iams and Eukanuba TEST on animals (also know as vivisection). They’re not “just fed dog food” they’re abused and neglected. They’re kept in cramped, filthy cages. They’re debarked, meaning researchers find their barking (cries for help) so annoying that they remove their vocal chords so they don’t have to listen to them howling.

The actual testing is mostly comprised of cutting chunks of their muscles out, to which they’re poorly stitched back together. Iams parent company is Proctor & Gamble, probably one of the most evil brand empires when it comes to animal testing.

Not all dog foods conduct barbaric testing like these, which is why it’s so important that you tell everyone you know NOT to buy dog foods that abuse dogs. I tried not to make this post too graphic, but it’s disgusting what they’re getting away with. Spread the word! #vegansofig
