Here’s round two of the hunt for the perfect vegan mascara. The first round was so/so, but I had a lot of luck this round.
1⃣  Manic Panic’s Raven Mascara is one of the best mascaras I’ve ever used. No hyperbole there, I mean it. It’s got a big think brush and applies a nice coat that really adds some volume to my lashes without any help from a lash curler. And it’s totally vegan and cruelty free. ❤ I’m in love .
2⃣  E.l.f.’s Mineral Infused Mascara was great as well. It’s brush slightly bends when you apply it so it goes on really well. And it was only $3. e.l.f.’s Mineral and Studio line are vegan and cheap. Even better, they work. Their Essential line is not vegan, so watch out for that.
3⃣  Emani Minerals Organic Soy Mascara was lovely as well. I accidentally ordered it in chocolate, but I liked it. Since their mascara passed the test, I’d definitely want to check out the rest of their makeup line. They’re vegan, gluten, paraben, and cruelty free. Plus they use 100% recycled paper goods for their packaging. Nice, huh?
UPDATE: Emani Minerals Mascara is NOT VEGAN. It contains beeswax. Very disappointing as it was marketed as “vegan friendly.”
4⃣  Lush just launched a vegan makeup line, so I rushed over to try their new mascara. It’s vegan! Their Fresh Wheatgrass Mascara comes in a bottle, but it’s got the brush inside. The sample brushes in the store worked fine, but the brush itself was a little short making it a bit awkward to apply. I really like the quality of Lush’s new makeup, but the packaging might need a bit of work.
5⃣  Larénim’s Mineralash Mascara was just okay. I should have tried the Lash Dance, but it was $30 and I’m on a budget.
✳ Well, that wraps up my vegan mascara hunt. Have you tried any of these? I’m happy with what I found. I’ll cover blush and lipstick next. #vegansofig
