A few days ago I had my heart broken. I was a die hard fan of Stella McCartney’s perfume. One would assume that a vegan friendly designer like Stella wouldn’t be associated with animal testing. You know what happens when you assume, right? I was working on a vegan, cruelty free perfume post when I discovered that Stella’s perfume is licensed to L’Oreal Luxe. I have confirmation from PETA that her perfumes are not tested on animals, but why would she license to L’Oreal? It’s like Ellen Degeneres, a vegan, animal advocate as the face of CoverGirl. I mean, come on! As much as it pains me to say this, I have to break up with Stella. As long as she’s with L’Oreal, her perfumes are tainted with the blood of all the animals L’Oreal has killed for their horrendous animal testing. 🐰 I’m now on the hunt for a new signature scent. I’ve already tried Pacifica, Lush, Ecco Bella, and LaVanilla. I like them, but they’re not Stella. Anyone tried A Perfume Organic or Sweet Anthem? This is going to be hard, y’all.
