As vegan friendly as Los Angeles is, our public transportation sucks! This weekend we had carmageddon part two. Can’t say it really affected me as I don’t really drive… like ever.
Veganism was the best decision I ever made, but ditching my car for my road bike was the second best. No gym, no traffic, no gas bills, no parking - it’s brilliant! It changed my life. It keeps me in shape, but more than anything, it makes me happy. I do all my grocery shopping by bike. Whatever I buy, I have to cycle back. It’s not all flat going back to my place, there are some pretty gnarly hills…
I make three exceptions to drive my car: When I’m hosting a protest, going out at night wearing big ‘ol heels, or really nasty weather. If you can find a way to ditch your car, even for one day, do it! Good for the environment, good for you, and you’ll have a cute looking tushy to show for it. #vegansofig
